Ghorepani Trek

This short and popular trekking in Annapurna region offers fine scenery, rhododendron forests and warm hospitality. An ascent of Poon Hill (3193m) is also included which provides a wonderful 360° panorama of all the famous mountains in this area. For those who have less time in Nepal but wish to see the mountains by close eye, this is the perfect trek. This trek starts with the short drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and then starting trekking crossing the many bamboo & rhododendron forests and large waterfalls with swimming holes Ghorepani village and taking us to the maximum elevation of 3210 m for the excursion of the famous Poon Hill to see the famous mountain peaks close to our eyes. During the trek, we would have chance to see the famous mountain peaks like Dhaulagiri I, Tukuche, Nilgiri, most of the ranges Annapurna, Hiunchule & Tarke Kang. Ghorepani means "horse water" and it is no doubt a welcome watering stop for the teams of horses, mules and ponies that carry loads between Pokhara and Jomsom.

One can extend the program upon completion of this trip. Extension to Royal Chitwan National Park or rafting in the famous rivers of Nepal like Seti, Kali Gandaki or Trishuli is also possible. All treks are operated for the minimum of two people to maximum group size of 12 people. Fully organized camping as well as tea house treks are possible in this routes.
